Why we offer one of the "best" organic sources? Because over 100 of our products are USDA, ACO and IFOAM - Certified organic!!
Our certifications tell everything! There is no need to study the ingredients on labels; nor a need to question the credibility and authenticity of the words "organic", "natural", "green", "safe'" or even "non-toxic" on products....because it has been "Certified". The studying, therefore, has been done for us through independent testing of our ONEgroup Miessence organic products.
Our Eco-Friendly products, made from over 267 natural organic and certified ingredients, include: Probiotic Super foods, Face Lotions, Skin Care, Essential Organic Oils Perfumes, Makeup,Cosmetics, Personal Body Care, Oral Care, Household Cleaning, Organic Mother and Baby care products. In order to be certifiied, our ingredients go through the strictest and the most rigorous of standard testing in the organic industry.
With a plethora of products out there claiming to be "organic", "natural", "green", "safe" or "non-toxic", one can only imagine the confusion it creates since many may only have a minute amount of "organic" ingredients in a product while the rest of it still contain toxic chemicals, pesticides, artificial additives or color....etc. Only by certifcation, can a product truly claim to be "Organic".
It is a medically recognised fact that our body absorbs significant amounts of what we put on our skin. With Certified Organic food rapidly becoming the nutrition of choice by the health conscious amongst us, why would you accept any less for your skin, body and home.
Giving back to the Environment
ONEgroup is proud to support the efforts of the David Suzuki Foundation, a scientifically based, solution-orientated environmental fund. Since 1990, the David Suzuki Foundation has worked to find ways for society to live in balance with the natural world that sustains us. Organic Products Confusion?
Currently, body and skin care products are not required to comply with the stringent organic food standards maintained by
certification bodies such as the BFA and NASAA in Australia and the USDA in America, hence the abundance of so many
so called 'organic' body care products now on the market.
Since water is the primary ingredient in many cosmetics, some manufacturers are claiming to use organic
hydrosols, or floral water, to green wash their products and make organic label claims whilst using the same synthetic
toxic ingredients that would never be allowed in authentic organic food products. We believe this practice has the potential to
destroy the integrity of the organic name.
ONEgroup Miessence Organic Product Certifications
There are two levels of certification for organic food products that OneGroup Miessence skin care products comply
with:
Products branded Miessence certified organics' are certified organic based on the following criteria:
These products contain (excluding water and salt) at least 95% organically produced agricultural ingredients.
The remaining ingredients (up to 5%) can be non-agricultural substances or non-organically produced agricultural
ingredients, with strict processing criteria, (eg. absolutely no GMOs or synthetic chemicals).
Products bearing the ACO logo ( Australian Certified Organic) meet all of the requirements above. ACO is Australia's
largest certifier for organic and biodynamic produce and has over 1500 operators within its certification system.
Products bearing the IFOAM logo (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements) meet all of the requirements
of ACO certification in addition to the standards set by IFOAM. IFOAM is the worldwide umbrella organisation for
the organic movement, uniting more than 750 member organisations in 108 countries.
Products bearing the USDA logo (United States Department of Agriculture) meet all of the requirements of ACO certification
in addition to the standards of the USDA National Organic Program (NOP). The USDA National Organic Program accredits private
businesses, organisations, and state agencies to certify producers and handlers of agricultural products according to NOP regulations.
Products branded Miessence Organics are either made with organic
ingredients or are mineral-based products:
Made with organic ingredients products contain (excluding water and salt) at least 70% organically produced
agricultural ingredients. Any remaining can be non-agricultural substances (eg, clay, bicarb soda, minerals) or
non-organically produced agricultural ingredients, with strict processing criteria (eg. absolutely no GMOs or
synthetics chemicals).
Mineral-based products contain non-agricultural substances (eg, clay, bicarb soda, minerals), with strict
processing criteria (eg. absolutely no GMOs or synthetics chemicals).
These products bear the BFA Registered Product logo.
International Organic Food & Product Certifiers
We are proud that the Miessence product range bears the seal of approval by Australia's leading organic certifiers, Australian Certified Organic (ACO) and the Biological Farmers of Australia (BFA). They set and maintain stringent quality standards that either comply with or exceed international requirements. In addition, select products in the range are also certified by the USDA (United States), IFOAM (European and International). No other organic products can boast such an extensive certification, making Miessence the Purest certified organic probiotic super foods, face creams, skin care lotions, hair care, personal care, health care, makeup cosmetics, oils, body care and organic baby care products on the Planet.
Eco Friendly - Certified Organic Standards
To obtain organic certification for a product, a minimum of 95% of all ingredients of agricultural origin must be certified organic. The remaining 5% of ingredients (such as pure minerals) are also bound by strict guidelines and may not contain synthetic chemicals or artificially processed elements.
Miessence certified organic products have also succeeded in achieving the highest level of shelf-life stability, without chemical preservatives or additives...a task thought to be impossible by top chemists and formulators prior to this point. All Miessence certified organic products have been tested to British Pharmacopoeia standards in an independent laboratory.
